This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the MyWins mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). MyWins is part of the ThrivingFam family of products.

Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, name, and an encrypted password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from your Google account.
- Child Profiles: You may create profiles for children in your household. A display name is required, but this does not need to be the child's real name. We do not collect children's ages, dates of birth, photos, or other identifying information.
- Chore and Routine Data: Task names, completion records, reward settings, and progress data you enter into the app.
- Collaborator Information: If you invite another adult (e.g., a co-parent) to collaborate, we collect their email address for the invitation.
Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers (for push notifications only).
- Usage Data: How you interact with the app, including features used, session duration, and crash reports. This data is anonymized and used solely to improve the Service.
Information We Do NOT Collect
- Children's real names, ages, photos, or location data
- Health or medical information
- Precise geolocation
- Contacts, call logs, or messages
- Financial information (payment processing is handled by Stripe; see below)
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the MyWins Service
- Create and manage your account
- Send push notifications related to chore reminders and rewards (if enabled)
- Process subscription payments through our third-party payment processor (Stripe)
- Respond to support requests and communicate with you
- Analyze anonymized usage trends to improve app features
- Protect against fraud and unauthorized access
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
- With Collaborators: If you invite a co-parent or caregiver, they will have access to shared chore data and child profiles within your household.
- Service Providers: We use trusted third-party services to operate the app, including:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS): Cloud hosting and data storage
- Stripe: Payment processing (we never see or store your credit card number)
- Google Firebase: Push notifications
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental request.
Children's Privacy
MyWins is designed for parents and caregivers to manage their household routines. The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Child profiles created within the app require only a display name (which does not need to be the child's real name) and contain no personally identifiable information about the child. All child profile data is controlled entirely by the parent or caregiver who created it.
If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at hello@mywins.family and we will promptly delete it.
Data Security
We take the security of your data seriously. We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Encryption of data in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest
- Passwords stored using bcrypt hashing (we cannot see your password)
- JWT-based authentication for all API requests
- Regular security reviews of our infrastructure
- Access controls limiting employee access to user data
While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain records.
Anonymized usage analytics may be retained indefinitely as they cannot be linked back to individual users.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Delete your account and associated data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Opt out of non-essential communications
